[Korea travel] Taking a leisurely walk through 'Jeju Countryside Village'

Famous tourist attractions and cafes are good, but how about taking a leisurely walk down the road in a quiet rural village for your own healing?

Introducing the western villages of Jeju Island, where there are beautiful cafes where you can fully enjoy the scenery of the village and hidden attractions between rural villages that seem to have nothing.

# Josu-ri, Hangyeong-myeon

Josu-ri is a really small village located in the west of Jeju. A large old tree welcomes you from the entrance, and there is no splendid view, but if you take a leisurely walk along the stone walls of Jeju on both sides of the road, it is a beautiful village with nature and Jeju houses. The road leading into the village is lush with vegetation, giving a feeling of being open to the mind, and the old buildings that stand unconcerned while walking at the entrance of the village touches the heart.

If you walk slowly along the narrow road between the villages, you will find a small pond. It is a place called Dotgot, and it is said that water was collected in the place where pigs broke the ground to dig food, so it is said that it was called Dosaegi, which means pig in the Jeju dialect, and called it Dotgotmul. Although it is a small pond, it is surrounded by old trees that are over 100 years old and provides an elegant walking path.

# Cafe Brewmarble

It's good to take a leisurely walk and enjoy the town, but for those who want to enjoy it slowly, we recommend Café Brewmarble. It is a cafe with a unique and Korean-style interior of a square building with square windows and square tables. It is a place where you can enjoy the scenery of Josu-ri through the large windows. You can't just pass by the quality of coffee and desserts such as handmade yokan, which are holding on to regular customers, right?

# Gosan-ri, Hangyeong-myeon

- Suwolbong Peak

ocated in Gosan-ri, Suwolbong is a small peak that can be reached by car, making it convenient and a great place to see the sunset over the quaintly built pavilion.

On the way to Suwolbong Peak, the village seen from the road around is wide open below. For someone like me who used to live in a forest of buildings, this nothingness landscape becomes a moment that touches my heart and passes by.

Yerae-dong, Seogwipo-si

The nature of Yerae-dong is beautiful, but the village itself is also full of charm. Yerae-dong especially grows a lot of tangerines, so if you take a walk along the village road, you can see tangerine trees standing tall on both sides. In April, it is out of season, so you can only see ornamental tangerines placed sparsely.

Of course, the tangerine fields are not a tourist destination, but a village where residents live, so if you visit them, be sure to keep your manners and manners!

# Yerae Ecological Park

Did you know that fireflies live only in clean environments? Yerae-dong is a village with clean and pretty natural scenery enough to be designated as a firefly sanctuary. In particular, Yerae Ecological Park, which surrounds Yeraecheon, a protected area, is an attractive walking course where you can slowly walk in the lush nature.

# Yeraepogu

If you go downstream along Yeraecheon, you can reach Nonjitmul, which is called a natural swimming pool. Although it is a small port, there is nothing special about it, but the red lighthouse in the distance and a few modestly located ships create a charming scenery.
